How do I increase protection of customer data? To increase protection of customer data do the following:
- Setup InnOvation (See Tools->Setup Property->Advanced tab->Keep Account Information) to remove the account information after the last reservation for a guest has checked out.
- Setup InnOvation (See Tools->Setup Users) to require users to login. Establish one or more accounts with restricted level access for use by desk clerks. Full credit card numbers will only appear on check-in/check-out dates with restricted accounts. See help topic "access levels" for more information.
- Be sure to delete old data files used by obsolete programs (such as NightClerk Express, InnPal, etc.) that might contain sensitive customer data.
- Keep all operation system, firewall and antivirus software up-to-date
